Jacket City, New Jersey, programmers and also authorities committed a permanent brand-new 80-foot tall sculpture labelled Water’s Soul that depicts a young female with a finger on her lips asking or shushing for silence in the direction of the New York City horizon over the Hudson River.
The artist, Jaume Plensa from Barcelona, Spain, claims he plans for the sculpture to motivate silent reflection of nature as well as the world.
After seeing Plensa’s artwork, Jersey City realty programmer Richard LeFrak claims he knew Plensa was the appropriate artist to develop public art along the waterfront.
Water’s Soul is the artist’s highest public sculpture worldwide, according to the designer.
