Jersey City mayor wants new safety protocols for high-rises

The collapse of a Miami condo structure is prompting Jersey City to reconsider safety and security needs for the city’s high rise structures. On Wednesday, Mayor Steven Fulop introduced legislation to create brand-new safety methods for both property and commercial structures. It mandates structural examinations of all concrete buildings above 6 tales at least every 10 years.
